Arizona State University, Phoenix, AZ

Research Assistant, College of Health Solutions (CHS)
February 2023 - Present

    I joined the College of Health Solutions at Arizona State University to enhance the processing and analysis of academic research proposals. Using advanced AI technologies like Sentence-BERT (SBERT) and Faiss, I developed a system to improve the semantic analysis of over 500 award proposal abstracts, significantly boosting both speed and accuracy.

  • My role also involved utilizing ASU's SOL High Performance Computing (HPC) resources to train and optimize large-scale AI models. These efforts led to more efficient research processes and positioned our team at the forefront of applying AI in academic research.
  • Through this position, I have been instrumental in advancing the use of AI for analyzing complex datasets at the university, supporting a wide range of research projects across various departments.
  • Conducted research on Large Language Models (LLMs), vector embeddings, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to improve text analysis and data retrieval processes

Oracle Cerner, Bangalore, India

Software Engineer Intern to Business Intelligence Specialist
February 2020 - May 2022

    I began my journey at Oracle Cerner as a Software Engineer Intern, where I created tools to improve code review processes by sorting GitHub PR comments for usability. This project significantly enhanced team productivity and was recognized by our leadership.

  • Following my internship, I was promoted to Business Intelligence Specialist in May 2020. In this role, I developed Python scripts for efficient data extraction from SQL servers, resulting in a more than 50% faster report generation. This major improvement was acknowledged at the company's annual town hall.
  • I also led efforts in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, facilitating better integration with frontend systems and enhancing overall software reliability. My collaboration with cross-functional teams and Banner Health's project managers helped identify and resolve critical system issues, ensuring optimal client service.
  • Throughout my tenure, I mentored junior team members on coding and client communication, significantly contributing to their professional growth and the high standards of our team.
